OUR history!  

In the fall of 2003, BLAIRE POSTMAN founded dccomedyfest.  

Her career includes positions with The Second City, Washington Speakers Bureau,and the William Morris Agency. 

She has been a Manager & Live Events Producer with Rain Management Group's New York office since June 2007.

Since the beginning, dccf has focused on finding talented and experienced performers who made us laugh - both hot new names and known performers doing new and interesting things.

The first dccomedyfest was held March 17-19, 2005, during which we learned the importance of not having a live entertainment event that competed with BOTH St. Patrick's Day and the NCAA Sweet Sixteen.  Happily, even from  the very first dccf we've had sold out houses and great performers.

The dccomedyfest is a year-round project, with work always on-going to find the next great acts and partnering with industry players and institutions to give those acts the best visibility possible. 

dccf relies on the work and talent of its chairpeople, volunteers, partners and friends who do it for the love of comedy, laughing and the excitement of uncovering new talents each year.
